Right to Delete and Data Removal Requests
The American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP) and the American Alternative Medical Association (AAMA) respect the privacy of our members and visitors and provide a process for requesting the removal of personal information from our systems.
Information We May Remove
Upon verification of your identity, we may remove or anonymize personal information including:
- Contact information
- Mailing address
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Member profile information
- Directory listings
- User account access
- Marketing and communication preferences
Information We May Retain
Certain information may be retained where necessary for legal, regulatory, accreditation, certification, financial, or record-keeping purposes.
Examples include:
- Certification application records
- Membership transaction history
- Payment records
- Historical certification status
- Audit and compliance records
- Communications related to certification decisions
Retention of these records does not imply active membership status.
Certification Records
AADP and AAMA maintain historical certification records to support credential verification and protect the integrity of the certification process.
If a member requests removal from public directories:
- Public directory listings will be removed.
- User account access may be disabled.
- Historical certification records may be retained internally.
- Verification requests may continue to indicate that a certification was previously issued.
Where applicable, records may indicate that membership is no longer active or that certification status cannot be verified beyond the period of active membership.
Requesting Deletion
To submit a deletion request:
- Complete the Data Removal Request Form.
- Provide sufficient information to verify your identity.
- Submit the request for review.
AADP/AAMA may request additional information to verify ownership of the record before processing any deletion request.
Processing Time
Most requests are reviewed and processed within 30 business days.
Complex requests may require additional review time.
Exceptions
AADP/AAMA reserve the right to deny or partially fulfill requests when:
- Identity cannot be verified.
- Records must be retained for legal or regulatory purposes.
- Records are necessary to maintain certification integrity.
- Fraud prevention or security concerns exist.
