Who Should Apply
The Educator designation is intended for members who are actively involved in teaching, training, mentoring, or developing educational programs related to alternative or integrative medical practices.
This may include instructors, clinical educators, program directors, or practitioners who support the development of other professionals in the field.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Maintain active AAMA certification and membership in good standing
- Demonstrate current involvement in teaching, instruction, or mentorship
- Provide details regarding educational programs, coursework, or clinical training activities
- Submit a brief professional statement outlining their role in education
All Educator applications are reviewed and conferred at the discretion of the AAMA Board based on demonstrated qualifications and contribution to professional education.

The Professional Statement
Applicants are required to submit a brief professional statement (approximately 250–400 words) addressing:
- Their role in teaching, instruction, or mentorship
- The type of programs, coursework, or clinical training provided
- Approach to education and professional development
- Commitment to advancing practitioner standards
This allows the Board to evaluate educational involvement, impact, and contribution to the field.

Educator Designation & Active Status
The Educator designation is an additional credential applied to your existing AAMA certification.
Educator status remains valid as long as your AAMA membership remains active and in good standing.
Active membership allows AAMA to:
- Verify your current professional and educational standing
- Maintain your Educator designation in the practitioner directory
- Recognize your role in supporting practitioner development and clinical education
