We are writing to alert you to a phishing scam that has recently been reported by several members.
Individuals are sending fraudulent emails while impersonating AAMA leadership and former association representatives. Recent reports have included requests for members to purchase gift cards on behalf of the association. These messages are not authorized by AAMA and often request the purchase of gift cards or other financial transactions.
Please remember:
• AAMA will never ask you to purchase gift cards on behalf of the association.
• AAMA will never request wire transfers, cryptocurrency payments, or payments to individuals.
• Official AAMA communications will not ask members to make personal purchases for staff, directors, or volunteers.
• If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from AAMA, do not reply, click links, purchase anything, or provide personal information.
If you receive one of these messages, please forward it to us at support@aadp.net so we can continue tracking the activity.
At this time, we have no evidence that AAMA systems have been compromised. This appears to be an impersonation scam using publicly available information.
Thank you to the members who have already reported these messages. Your vigilance helps protect the entire professional community.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Troudt
Executive Director
American Alternative Medical Association (AAMA)
